Putting on and taking off an ocular prothesis
Putting on and taking off an ocular prosthesis
At first it may seem a bit difficult to remove and then put your prosthesis back on, but don't worry, you will get used to it very quickly.
Remember the essential hygiene rules : always have clean hands before each manipulation and ensure that the prosthesis is cleaned before putting it back.
First, gently push the prosthesis under the upper eyelid. | |
Relax, and direct your gaze upwards, which will make it easier for you to draw the eyelid down. |
Clean your ocular prosthesis in a small container of lukewarm water (never run it directly under running water). After cleaning it, dry it gently with a disposable tissue.
